The cocktail menu also has some interesting twists including flavorful libations such as the "Ruspoli Sapphire" composed of gin, lemon juice, blue curaçao and prosecco, garnished with a lemon twist. Inspiration came from a French nightclub that Levy frequented as a teenager in Arcachon, France called The Exotic Bobo Club think fun, upbeat, cool, and dancy. Celebrity designer, Gulla Jónsdottir of G+ Designs, has decorated the space with burnt wood and bamboo walls, light coconut colored floors, a sleek copper bar, and hand sewn leather banquettes. Rumpus Room is designed to elevate the senses - from the lights and music to the stunning decor all these elements make party revelers come back for more.
Formerly known as Sapphire Lounge, the famous hot spot that opened in 1992, owner Jahan Salarimatin has now teamed up with industry heavyweight, Athena Hom, and music executive, Gabriel Levy, to bring this staple venue back to life. One such lounge is Rumpus Room which debuted two weeks ago with a soft opening. The Lower East Side has seen a resurgence in nightlife with new hideaways opening all over the trendy, hipster region of New York City.
